Föra och Följa

The Vessel Productions

Inspired by Nordic mythology, circus arts and folk music are intertwined in a delicate performance about identity and self-confidence.

In Föra och Följa, we meet circus artist Sarah Lett and violinist Thea Åslund. In this performance, the Cyr-wheel symbolizes the importance of having an inner space, a personal bubble, where one can reflect and connect with oneself. When you listen to your inner voice, it is easier to find your own path in life. Thea’s musical character is inspired by the “Fylgja” (Följa) from Nordic mythology, a loving, protective guide that wants to keep us safe and lead us in the right direction — while also passing on the love from generation to generation.

Föra och Följa is a performance for both children and adults about connecting with the inner strength we all possess, through circus and music.

Sarah Lett is a circus artist specialized in the Cyr-wheel, combining her skills with poetic and visual expressions. She has participated in several major productions by Cirkus Cirkör. Thea Åslund is a Swedish musician and violinist, deeply rooted in Swedish folk music. She plays in various bands and also tours with Cirkus Cirkör.
