Marmelad

Marmelad

Claire Parsons Co

A yummy and whimsical performance about meeting, turning and moving around. Poetic movements, soft circus in bright red to the tune of Fellini’s characteristic circus-inspired film score.

In this gem of circus and dance, the festival’s youngest visitors are invited to explore the world together with two dancers from award-winning company Claire Parsons Co. This time the exploration has marmalade as a starting point! What can marmalade be? Is it cherry, pear, fig, mint, upside down, together or inside?

With her background in opera and theatre, choreographer Claire Parsons creates imaginative performances with a playful and elegant movement language. Marmelad, her first production for everyone aged 2 and up, quickly became a hit. To date, it has played more than 500 times in some fifteen countries, including twenty sold-out performances at the historic New Victory Theater in New York, as well six performances in Seoul, South Korea.
