Dansens hus Elverket

Dansens Hus is Sweden’s largest performing arts centre for contemporary dance, inaugurated in 1991. Since the turn of the year 2022/2023, Elverket, located at Linnégatan 69 in the Östermalm area of Stockholm, has acted as the main stage, while Folkets Hus, at Norra Bantorget, has undergone renovations.

Each year, Dansens Hus presents over 40 guest performances, primarily Swedish and international contemporary dance and related performing arts. Here you meet contemporary companies and choreographers who have characterized the artistic expression of the last decades, as well as those who will do so in the future. They organize seminars, workshops, children’s activities, and exhibitions.

Elverket is an experimental venue for contemporary dance, theater, and scenic experiments.
